This place is totally local, I love it because of the variety of people there—I'm bringing in my son to get his haircut, there are 78-year-old Jewish ladies coming in, there's young, hip people getting their hair colored. Sam, the owner, and a guy named Mike, both Lebanese, seem to be able to fit anyone in. It's amazing, he's open seven days a week and people are constantly in there. He's a really easy funny smart guy, there's even a scene in my novel based here. The other thing that's great about the place, is that while great haircuts in New York can be a gazillion dollars, theirs are reasonable, like $50.
