5 Pointz has become a place where legal or illegal graffiti artists can paint. It's where the old school legends are—the really great ones from Europe that are such amazing artists—all the way down to little kids from the neighborhood. It's like a free-for-all, and it's great that it's so organized. They also hold workshops, where you can learn what a fill-in is, how to cut into letters or how to fade characters and stuff. It's kind of a community thing, and they invite different people to participate. It's just this young guy who runs it—he's public about what he does, and he doesn't do illegal stuff—but he teaches young kids in the neighborhood that want to paint because he sees that we're going to eventually hand it down.
