Honmura An is such a delight. It's a Japanese restaurant in SoHo, whose specialty is Soba cuisine. Located on the second floor of a building on Mercer between Prince and Houston, the space is refined and elegant, yet still always warm and comfortable. The soba noodles are freshly handmade on the premises each day, and you can truly taste the difference. My favorite dish is their Cold Uni Soba. It's topped with the finest sea urchin swimming in a delicious, subtly flavored broth. It's just so yummy. Because it's rich in Vitamin B and Rutin, soba is also very nutritious. This winter I'm looking forward to trying their hot soba and udon dishes too.
