RePop Is on Washington Avenue just up the street from Steiner Studios in The Navy Yard. It’s a very out of the way location, and fringes two stunning historical neighborhoods in Brooklyn with those giant manor houses and wide streets, Clinton Hill and Fort Green. It has amazing, mid-century furniture, mostly knock-offs at lower cost, plus weird collector items, with a rack of hit or miss vintage and reworked vintage clothes. I bought two Chloe-esque, peter-pan collar dresses with Bakelite double-breasted buttons. The wine and intelligent conversation flow on a Sunday! I got lots of furniture there, one piece I love is my horn lamp, it looks like a Bull’s horn, but it’s hollow and very, very old (or else I’d feel guilty). Also, two Danish, mid-century, two tiered rosewood end- tables, paired with two winter white, vinyl pod chairs with metal legs, very 60’s futurism.
