No. 6 offers reworked vintage clothing, including some vintage designers and limited current pieces. The key is stylist Karin Berenson's, and her partner Morgan's, 'eye.' Karin is an amazing editor; she'll always have the great and the obscure there. She always has uncanny recommendations for you. Also, No. 6 is good for a block party—they open up the basement space, have a dj and lots of young hipsters hanging about. It's all very undercover—I think it might be by appointment only—but everyone in the industry knows about it. My favorite purchase is a gray wool plaid Cerrutti dress from the '80s, with dolman-bloused sleeves, an asymmetrical button-up neck, an elastic cinched waist and a full kilt-pleat mini skirt. Very 80's futurism...if that even exists!
