A great book to read in Manhattan is How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. It was a massive bestseller in the 1930s, and it probably still should be today. I don't want to spoil it and give away the ending, but I can definitely say that it's a good read. You may find the book offensive, or it may help you to make some meaningful, rewarding friendships.
