In my opinion, and I'm going to sound kind of snobby here, but for me, Chelsea's pretty done. I'm not really into the galleries in the Chelsea area, I think it's kind of ridiculous, the work that they're showing. However, I would say that the Gagosian Gallery probably has the reputation of being the only worthwhile gallery to go to. It's huge—you know, I think they have three of them in New York—but the one on 24th Street is almost a city block, it's just gigantic. The shows that they've put on are museum quality shows like the Andy Warhol retrospective, and Richard Serra did an installation there before he did it at the MoMA. The shows here are of such high quality, they're almost in a league of their own—it kind of puts the rest of the galleries to shame, but that's just my opinion.
