L'asso is a new pizza place that has entered the Nolita district. It's these long thin pizzas, they're not round and they're not really square, they're kind of rectangular but with round ends, like a subway sandwich but flattened and big. They use really premium ingredients and really bizarre ingredients, like truffle oil, pears and gorgonzola cheese. We started getting them delivered for meetings because they're a good format for groups. And then we started to go there. They put up art work of local artists and occasionally have parties there for local designers or musicians or things like that. Also, they had a downstairs club that was a secret club for a long time but it closed. But the pizza is just really good, it's a bit expensive but it's because the ingredients are really good and it's just high-quality pizza. It tastes really amazing, I've introduced a bunch of my friends to it and they all go back.
