Located in a sub-cellar space on Chrystie Street, The Box feels like the meeting point of an elegantly resurrected speakeasy and P.T. Barnum's bordello fantasy. It has been ingeniously designed to be both sexy and cozy. So far, it has only been used for private parties, but its hybrid world of quirk and chic will make for a spectacular cabaret dinner theater once it opens to the public.
