Every other Friday, Tepper previews the goods to be sold at their Saturday auction. It's a killer estate sale/arcade-auction experience, and one of the only places in New York where you can buy furniture and other home accessories that are ready to come home with you the same week, without paying up like a big city fool. Many New York antique dealers do their own shopping here, and loyal attendance can mean a fabulously outfitted apartment—without the requirement of a fabulously-appointed bank account. The quality and style of the auction items vary wildly, but that's the fun of it. The bidding process requires that you be rational and impulsive at the same time because victorious absentee bids can surprise you on Monday.
