Tides Seafood bills itself as the Lower East Side's premier seafood restaurant—and it does more than live up to that title, even if it was only opened in September 2005 (by Steven Yee, Alan Leung and Judy Seto, the mastermind behind the mind-blowing bouillabaisse! The place seats only 22 and features 120,000+ bamboo skewers lining the ceiling creating an undulating wooden wave caught mid-crest above the diners. The small menu is relatively unique and the wine selection is thoughtful. Steven was so excited about some of his latest wine finds, he had to share them with us after we closed the restaurant down last Friday night.
