Belgian-born Charlotte Collard has graced the pages of American, Italian and German Vogue, as well as international editions of ELLE and Marie Claire. Snapped by top photographers from Walter Chin to Arthur Elgort, her sassy strut is also a catwalk favorite of couture houses Oscar de La Renta, Giorgio Armani and many others.

While her demanding work schedule means Collard often jets off for three months at a time, this New-York based model finds that the East Village, her home for four years, suits her better than any designer frock ever could. So when the energetic beauty isn't walking all over town to check out exhibits at her favorite gallery, shopping on the Upper East Side, getting a kick out of Thai Boxing or reading books on ecology, she's still on the lookout for something to enrich her mind. Says Collard, "As long as I am busy and discovering things—I need to see new things, meet new people, learn or read something new—I'm happy."

Not to mention starting something new—the savvy Collard now has her sights set on the public relations world, brainstorming the launch of Luxury4Good, a boutique PR firm, that will specialize in promoting luxury goods via private sales. And, she admits, there's always the possibility of TV. But what about a free fall fashion tip? "Every girl in the city should have a big bag—they're easy to transport all your sneakers, heels, books and exercise clothes around in, and all the big designers have one." Of course, we recommend that you wear the sneakers, not carry them, if you're going to try to keep up with her.
