My favorite restaurant would have to be Esperanto on Avenue C and 9th Street. It's a fantastic little Brazilian place. The menu hasn't changed in all the time I've been going there, but that's a very good thing. The food is unbelievable, such as the Moqueca Bahiana—shrimp and red snapper—and their mojitos are flavorful, fresh and very minty. Sip one during sunset—with a live band playing in the background, it feels like you've been transported to Latin America.
