At the time, I literally cancelled or resented any social plans I had lest they interfere with my reading of this brilliantly written and compelling story. Dr. Viktor Frankl is an internationally renowned psychiatrist. He endured many years of unspeakable horrors in a number of Nazi concentration camps—where his search for meaning in everything was the very core of his survival. He then took and used the memory of the nightmare he had endured to help others, developing a revolutionary approach to psychotherapy known as logotherapy. It's his belief that man's primary motivational force is a 'search for meaning'. I will always feel the need to remember his story out of reverence and respect.
