Walking into Aedes de Venustas is like walking into a cave on Greenwich and Christopher Street. It's all fragrances, a lot of it is stuff you can't find anywhere else in New York, and then if it becomes popular Robert, the guy who runs it, stops carrying it. It's a really nice store and a great place to get a gift. You step inside and you don't even know where you are—you could be anywhere in the world. They decorate the store with fresh flowers and sell things like lotions and tea candles. When you test the perfume, Robert will spray it in the air and then throw out his arms. It's a really special place, one of my favorites.
